Calling all millennials!! This easy acaí bowl recipe is going to save you lots of $$$ and open your palette to the smoothie world. Top with your favorite fresh fruits, granola, chia seeds, peanut butter, honey etc. I purchase my frozen acaí at Trader Joe's, but many stores sell it! I once was blind but now thanks to this recipe, acaí.
Ingredients:
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 frozen acai packet
- 1/4 cup of frozen pineapple
- 1/4 cup of almond milk
Toppings:
- Overnight chia
- Half of a banana, sliced
- Sunrise Crunchy Maple cereal
Mix the frozen banana, pineapple, acai, and 1/4 cup of almond milk in a blender. Serve in a bowl and top with your favorite fruit, nut butter, and chia seeds/granola/cereal! Easy peezie lemon squeezie. No more paying $15 for an acaí bowl :)
Overnight chia:
The night before making your acai bowl, mix 1/4 cup of chia seeds with 1 cup of almond milk and leave in the refrigerator overnight. The next morning it should have a pudding-like texture. Goes great with the acaí.
