Gluten free, nut free, and vegan!!! so much better than store bought.
Ingredients:
2 fuji or honey crisp apples
¼ tsp Ground cinnamon
1 tsp lemon juice
2 tbsp Maple Syrup (optional)
Chop up the apples and in a pan over medium heat mix the apples, lemon juice, cinnamon, maple syrup, and 4 tbsp of water. Let it heat up until it reaches a simmer. Once it does, reduce the heat to low and let cook for 20 minutes. Once the apples are soft and caramelized you can either blend them or mash them with a potato masher. Voila! I ate mine warm but you can also refrigerate up to 5 days! Enjoy!
